MEET N GREET/NEW PUP EVALUATIONS 

Before booking at Austin Dog Lady, we like to get to know your pup(s) and make sure they're a good fit! We'll schedule a Meet N Greet or Play Day Evaluation preferably at least 48 hours before their first day of Stay N Play, where they will receive extra special attention and monitoring. We will observe their play style and introduce them to other dogs in small groups or on-on-one as to not overwhelm your pup and let them ease into the atmosphere, which will help us get to know your pup before booking a Stay N Play! Please bring your dog leashed.

How old does my pup have to be before they can start Daycare or Boarding?

Puppies must be 4 months old (16 weeks) before they can attend daycare or boarding. For their safety, they need to have their last round of puppy vaccinations at 16 weeks before they can be exposed to other dogs. All pups should receive one Rabies vaccine, as well as 3 Distemper (DHPP) and 3 Bordetella booster vaccines. These 3 rounds should be administered at ages 8 weeks, 12 weeks, and the 3rd and final round at age 16 weeks.  After receiving their last round of shots, we request they wait one FULL WEEK incubation period before coming in for their first day evaluation for Stay N Play.  All vaccination records are required to be  uploaded in the portal before booking services. All puppies must be completely potty trained.

What is Austin Dog Lady Spay & Neuter Policy?

We require all pups to be spayed and neutered by 8 months old. Between 4 months old and 8 months old your pup does not need to be spayed or neutered, and they can still participate in play groups. Sometime between 6 months of age and 8 months of age, they need to be spayed or neutered in order to continue attending daycare or boarding once they reach 8 months old. If problems arise for your intact male pup prior to 8 months old, or if your intact female pup goes in to heat, we may notify you that they cannot continue attending daycare or boarding until they are spayed/neutered, for their safety.

What vaccines are required for my pup to attend Daycare or Boarding?

We require 3 vaccines for daycare or boarding. Rabies, Distemper (DHPP) and Bordetella. Your pup must be up to date on these vaccines or they will not be able to attend day care or boarding. After receiving the Bordetella vaccine, pups must wait a minimum of one FULL WEEK before arriving for day care or boarding. Dogs are still "shedding" the Bordetella bacteria after receiving the vaccine and are contagious to other dogs. It is also recommended that your pet be on a Flea/Heartworm treatment year around as fleas and mosquitos are typically out all year long in Austin.

For non-holiday reservations, for doggie daycare and in-home boarding services you are required to give us a 48 hour cancellation notice prior to the first day of your scheduled Stay N Play to receive a 50% refund.  Any cancellations with less than 48 hours, there is no refund. You will be charged in full for your reservation as that time has already been reserved for your pet(s) and we are unable to fill that spot at the last minute. For holiday reservations, we require at least 72 hours cancellation notice to receive a 50% refund. Any cancellations with less than 72 hours, there is no refund. Holidays include: New Year's Eve Week, Spring Break, Easter Weekend, Memorial Day Weekend, July 4th Weekend, Labor Day Weekend, Thanksgiving Week, and Christmas Week.

At Austin Dog Lady, we offer premium in-home boarding & daycare in our Pet BnB bungalow to a small number of clients. Because space is limited it is our most sought-after service. Animals who do best in this environment are ones who get along well with other dogs, like to play  or have been boarded or gone to daycare before. We have comfy guest suites and snuggly beds and lots of toys for visitors to play with. If your pet isn’t a great candidate for boarding, we can care for them in the comfort of their own home, based on our availability and your location etc.

Boarding is per night depending on your dog's weight, size etc. This price per night includes the entire day of doggy daycare on that day.. If you choose to drop your dog off in the afternoon drop off time frame, this does not reduce the price, and your pup will still enjoy doggy day care on that evening before bed time.  For evening drop off, we request that you bring your pup in as early as close to 4 PM as possible. The later you drop off your pup in the evening, the less time they have to play before bed.

• When you pick your dog up from boarding during the morning pick up hours, you do not pay anything for the last day.  However, if pick up is after 12 PM, then an additional doggy daycare charge will apply.  
• Morning pick up: 8-11 AM (M-F)
• Evening Drop Off: 3-6 PM (M-F)
• Saturdays and Sundays: 9-11 AM + 4-6 PM
